There is great gain in contentment

I’m in a season of “less is more…”

Less things, more moments…

Less time on my phone, more presence…

Less people, more iron sharpening iron sisters…

Less of me, more of HIM

We are so conditioned to believe that less is actually less than….

But what I’ve learned in this season of my life, more than ever…is that God is so present in the “less”.

Less of something yields more time for growth in virtue.

I don’t have quite as many “friends” as I did even one year ago…but the people I do have in my life, I sure am thankful for. There is depth, there is hard truth spoken, there is mourning with eachother in the valleys and true rejoicing on the mountain tops in the victories. I’d take the handful of women in my life who speak life, edify me in the Word and simply love me BIG, than a whole slew of people calling themselves “friend” but the relationship yielding no fruit.

Less is more. I’m quite convinced of it…Camp out in contentment and He gifts you true joy.

You can find me pitching a tent in the camp of contentment 😎

But godliness with contentment is great gain, for we brought nothing into the world, and we cannot take anything out of the world. But if we have food and clothing, with these we will be content.

1 Timothy 6:6-8

A man of many companions may come to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.

Proverbs 18:24
